Committee Update

Dear Member,

We are writing to inform you Ricky Redmond, Chair of CCC since December 2023, has decided to step down from his role with immediate effect. 

Originally planning to finish his term at the end of this season, Ricky made the decision to step away earlier to focus on new priorities. Having been a player and Member of the Club for most of his life, he has served on the Committee in various roles during his years. 

Ricky rejoined the Committee as Vice-Chair in December 2022, before taking on the challenging role of Chair in December 2023 and was reappointed at the AGM in December 2024 for this season.

One of Ricky's first major priorities was overseeing the Club’s refurbishment. Thanks to his tenacity, creativity, determination, and tireless work ethic, we now have a fantastic facility that will serve the Club for years to come—a true legacy of his leadership. His hands-on, can-do attitude has led the Club through a productive, future-focused period, and we are incredibly grateful for his contributions both behind the scenes and in the day-to-day running of the Club (not to mention his excellent time management of Committee meetings!).

We extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Ricky, and we hope you will join us in wishing him well when you see him.In the interim, Vice-Chair Catherine Wright will assume the role of Acting Chair, supported by Club President, Chris Smith and Club Officers.

The Committee are meeting on Tuesday, 8 July to discuss the next steps. We will share a further update after the meeting.
