2026 is the 250-year anniversary of the middle stump!
Find out the history and how you can get involved here!
Existing members will receive a renewal notification on 1st April 2025 via Spond. Click here for info
Our membership window is due to open on 1st April, closing on 30th April - this is the time to get renewed and continue being a Bluecap for the 2026 season. And its a big season to be a part of - we've the 250th Anniversary of the Middle Stump festivities, the 10th anniversary of the Chertsey Premier League, a new President in Denis Perks, and a couple of titles to retain/win back (delete where appropriate).
The good news - the membership subs aren't budging! We're holding our annual membership fees at 2025 prices - Social/Parent (Non-Playing) stays at £20, so you social members can still take in sun-soaked afternoons and evenings on the patio for the same price. We can't guarantee the price of beer won't go up, but at least you're safe in the knowledge we've got your back on your annual subs. The playing memberships will also stay at the same price.
A reminder of the fees:
Male Senior Playing Member (Over 21) = £150
Ladies Senior Playing Member (Over 18) = £80
Intermediate Playing Member (18-20) = £80
Junior Member* (6-17) = £60
Additional Family Junior Member* (6-17) = £40
Blue Caps* (School Year 1 & 2) = £35
Social Playing Member** = £25
Social Non-Playing Member/Parent Member = £20
Social Team*** = £250
* All U18 members must have at least one parent or legal guardian who is also a member of the club either playing or social. Both memberships will need to be submitted and paid at the same time. THIS BIT'S REALLY IMPORTANT.
**Allows you to play in Social League matches and up to a maximum 4 league or CPL matches per season - If you exceed 4 league or CPL matches, you will be sent a payment request to upgrade your playing membership.
***Allows up to 15 named players to play Social League matches for one Social League Team. You will need to provide a list of your players.
This year brings a couple of exciting updates to the membership offering:
1. Refer-a-Friend Scheme
You may have seen our Refer-a-Friend Scheme - if you know someone who’d love playing cricket at Chertsey CC simply refer them to the club and we’ll reward you with a £20 bar credit - help welcome new players, strengthen our teams, and enjoy some drinks on us, its a win-win. These are the terms:
Full terms can be found on our website here.
2. Match Fees
There is a thing we talk about often at Committee - and that is The Cost of Cricket. This is the price it costs to put a game on - teas (if applicable), ground hire/maintenance, and equipment for example. This is usually paid forward by the membership subs and match fees. This year The Cost of Cricket has gone up, so we need to ensure as a club we're not running at a loss. So as we're keeping the membership subs the same, we've taken the decision to put up the match fees to cover. Fees will go up at a steady percentage across nearly every section of the club and will continue to be reviewed, along with the membership subs.
The new 2026 match fees will be:
Senior 1s/2s - £14.00
Senior 3s/4s - £12.00
Ladies Senior Slam - £10.00 (£8.00 no tea)
Ladies Slam - £7.50
Sunday Senior - £8.00 (visiting team £90)
Junior - £6.00
Social League - £7.50
Trust League - £8.00
3. Greedy Boyz
Also new for 2026 is our new bistro incumbent, Greedy Boyz. They'll be serving affordable, high-quality grub to our members throughout the summer, and come highly recommended.
Ready to recommit? The next thing to look out for is out membership renewal email - you'll get this on 1st April. Just check your details and follow the payment link on your email and wait for your receipt, then you're good to go. If you need to update us with any details in the meantime drop an email to membership@chertseycc.org.uk. You'll have until 30th April to renew - after this point things get a bit tricky if you want to be selected for games. Harsh but fair.
If you want to sign up for a new membership for the 2026 season, we just need you to complete the new member's form - if it all looks ok we'll approve, and payment is needed within 7 days to become a fully-fledged Bluecap.
The one thing we really must reiterate if you're a Colts parent looking to sign up or renew your Colt - you must also do a membership alongside your Colt - failure to do this means the Colt's membership is likely to be refused.
As part of the Colts Membership each Colt will get either a training shirt or cap free, and so not to make the first training session carnage we host two Sign-on Nights. It's really important you try to get your membership done before this night to make the night run smoothly, but its also a night we can give you a hand if you're struggling with how to renew or join.
Our two sign on nights this year are 15th (from 5.30pm to 7pm) and 16th (7pm to 8.30pm) April, so make a note of these dates.
So that's you up to date, all you need to do is wait for your email on the 1st if you're renewing or fill out the New Member's form if you're new.
Now you can also add all of our 2026-27 events and big fixtures directly into your calendar with our new iCal file - be the first to know about events and any changes. As long as you've got a Google or Outlook calendar you're good to go - click this link to get started and subscribe.
