Surrey Cricket Championship Merger Begins for 2025 Season

Surrey Cricket Championship Merger Begins for 2025 Season

17 Mar 2025

Following a league-wide consultation, from the 2025 season, the Chertsey senior teams will all play in a new league structure. It's out with the Surrey Championship (which has been dissolved) and in with the Surrey Cricket Championship - meaning coloured kit for the 1st XI, no more timed cricket, and more local fixtures.

New Leagues:

1st XI - Surrey Cricket Championship - Division 3 West 2025 - Tier 2 (white ball)

New oppo: Dorking, East Molesey's 2nd XI, Sunbury, and a trip back to Farnham.

Coloured kit: Each 1st XI player must have a coloured shirt and coloured trousers, and supporters and spares can be purchased here: https://teamshop.nxt-sports.com/find-your-club/chertsey-cc/

2nd XI - Surrey Cricket Championship - Division 5 West 2025  - Tier 2 (red ball)

New oppo: Byfleet, Chobham, Cobham Avorians, Effingham, and Staines & Laleham's 1st XI.
