Chertsey Cricket Club are Proudly Sponsored by

In preparation for our AGM on 5th December at 7.00, I wanted to make members aware of some of the agenda items we’ll be covering on the night.
First and foremost will be confirming committee positions, a list of which can be found here https://chertseycc.org.uk/pages/club-officials.
This is your committee and as such I’d encourage all members to join us on the evening so you can ask questions and have input into the future of the club. This includes standing for positions on committee to help the development of the club.
Outside of committee, we are strongly dependant on volunteers to help maintain our busy cricket calendar, social events and ever increasing membership.
Please consider donating time to the club - whether that’s helping with colts coaching, lending a hand with the endless groundworks, or being available on evenings such as Fireworks Night to help marshal the crowds. It all helps and as I’ve always said - the more we have, the less anyone has to do.
We will be discussing our “green plan” - the club’s commitment to saving energy and money, as well as accessing potential new green spaces for cricket - our changing relationship with the council and introducing a “School Champion” to nurture relations local schools.
Plans are already afoot for our “pathway project” - focussing on providing support for the transition from colts to senior cricket.
I’m delighted to announce we have confirmed new bistro “owners” - Faye and her team from Greedy Boyz will be starting in mid-May, providing a high standard of food and teas for the club.
Preparations are well underway for our 250th anniversary next year. We will be holding a cricket week starting on Sunday 21st June, comprising of days dedicated to each section of our club, some flagship fixtures and a few surprises along the way. More details to follow.
We look forward to seeing you on the 5th.
