Sunday 6th July sees Colts Day, the loudest day of the year. For those parents who are partaking in their first, we can't wait for you to get involved - our advice: bring some ear plugs, plenty of refreshments, and sit back and watch the carnage unfold.
A reminder, here's the drill:
- Arrive at the club at 9.00am sharp.
- Colts to wear training t-shirt and bring along a bat - no other equipment is needed as we’ll be playing with Incrediballs.
- Players will be batting/bowling against their own age group and ability.
- Prepare for the weather (hat, sun cream etc…)
- Please walk to the club if you can, but if you have to drive, volunteers will be on hand to direct you where to park.
- A parent/guardian MUST STAY ON SITE for the duration of the day.
- There will be a lunchtime break around 12.30ish when we will be entertained by a Bluecaps game.
- Teams will compete in a round-robin competition based on 2 groups of 4 teams, winners will progress to semi-finals and then the BIG ONE!
The bistro will be open for breakfast from 9am - 11.45pm then 12.15pm to close of play. We'll also have an ice cream van during the afternoon as well!
Note there will also be a raffle during the day, all the proceeds of which goes towards Colts Dinner, so dig deep. Prizes including a signed Chelsea shirt, signed canvas of Matthew Hoggard, cricket kit, and alcohol hampers. Tickets will be sold throughout the day for £1 a ticket.
