We held our AGM last Friday, where our President and 2025 Committee and Playing Captains were voted in, with a number of new additions.
It's thankyou and au revoir to James Richards as Cricket Development Manager, Stuart Bailey as Fixtures Secretary, Felix Reisch as Colts Chairman, and Hugh Aish-Lyons (who covered for Shyam Patel) as Sunday Captain. We also say a huge thanks to Tim Beer, who steps down as Hon.Treasurer after 21 years, leaving the Club in a much better position financially than when he found it...
New Personnel:
President - Chris Smith
Non-portfolio - Felix Reisch, Hugh Aish-Lyons, Stuart Bailey
Fixture Secretary - Jack Lloyd
Cricket Development Manager - Jamie Anthony
Social Secretary - Harry Nuti
Hon. Treasurer - Paul Hawksley
Sunday Captain - Phil Boast
We're gonna need a bigger table for meetings... We hope you'll all support those undertaking these new roles, and give them the time they'll need.
You can view the full list of our 2025 Committee and Playing Captains on our Club Officials page over on our website.
We also awarded our honorary memberships on the night:
Alan Dell
Ron Beecroft
Junior head coaches - these will be notified
We also inducted a new Vice President and Life Vice Presidents:
Vice President - Claire Wright
Life Vice Presidents - Tim Beer, Mark Nuti, Denis Perks
Last but no means least we elected a new club President, after Richard Dodd's tenure has come to an end (a huge thankyou from the club for taking the role and your time over the last two years) - our new Club President is: Chris Smith.
Chris "Smithy/Smudger" Smith. Chris joined CCC in the mid-80s, and played up until 2019. He was the founder of the Social League in the early nineties and CPL nine years ago. He also managed a Colts side and became CCC Chairman in 2017, reigning for 10 years and restoring the club's financial and administrative stability during his tenure. President Smith is keen to cultivate the history and tradition of the club, and we can't wait to see him get going!
