Spring Work Day - We Need You!

Facilities Manager Andy Sewell has kindly put together an easy-to-tackle list for our Spring Work Day next Saturday and Sunday (13th and 14th) from 9am, so if you can spare us an hour, or three, your time will be gratefully received, and you'll be doing your club a great service. Playing it forward, if you will.

We will also not see your hard work go unnoticed, as we will be opening up the Bistro for the morning of work day, so get fueled up and ready to give the club a glow up.

Tools - if you have, we need you to bring please:
Electric Sanders for the benches
Rakes & Hoes
Leaf blowers
Brooms
Gardening tools, e.g. secateurs
Buckets and sponges
Personal gloves
Shovels

 

Jobs to Do

- On the Ground
Clear mobile cover frames of winter debris - flush gullies, hoses and connectors
fit new mobile covers
Clean cover sheets (for use at the Rec)
Fit replacement mobile net
Put up sponsor signs on nets
Prepare sight screen - clean and replace slats
Prepare sight screen - fix sheet
Brush out nets of winter debris - weed killer if necessary
Tidy score box - throw out anything that isn't needed


- Around the Ground
Cement down loose step slabs
A general tidy up of ditches and any fallen branches etc.
A clear up around the garages - move window frame into the garage
Make good car park - fill holes
Tidy rubbish by gates & main bins
A general tidy up of the car park area - cutting grass and weeding around nets & buildings
Tidy garages - empty, throw out rubbish & sweep through
Clear away the poles lying by the nets
Move unused bollards
Trim / Cut down tree outside the gate and clear away


- Clubhouse
Clear clubhouse gutters
Clear patio drains
Paint / stain benches
Jet wash bins
Clear away changing room
Wash down walls in away changing room - make it presentable
Empty lost property box
